Trans Temp, low reading?

I just installed A-pillar gauges (Autometer), boost works fine (17PSI wot), but Trans Temp only went up to about 150*F?. Bad sender? Or is that what it should read?
Needle doesn't drop back down on shutdown, not sure if that's how Autometers are though...

Depending on where I'm driving and the temperature, my trans will also stay around 150. It was 90 outside here today and my trans was around 160-170. If you go out and beat on your truck the trans temp will raise, it's just not instant.

Its about right.

80-90 degrees above ambient is where it will be.

Now if it were a 6.0 it generally wont get much above 165 in the summer because of the huge cooler

Alright, turns out I was wrong about 150 (I can't read??). It went to about 130, but last night when I tried her out it was about 50-60* ambient temp... Does that still sound right? I was driving it hard enough, and then one of my calipers seized....
