I belive they are the same as the late 99. I have a E99 as well I put a 5in straight pipe on but kept the stack down pipe, putting a 4in pipe in there is a tight fit and takes some manuvering.

i put a 4" down pipe on my 2000...it was tight but managable. is there less room in the early 99s than the later models? if the truck was here i would go look and compare it to mine....but its not....
