2000 F350 Best Performance Modifications

Hey I have a 2000 F350 and was wondering what would be my best route to go to get some more power out of her. I currently have gauges(boost, trans, and EGT). I am going to be getting a intake soon, but other than that I am running bone stock. I would like to get a switchable chip so that I can change my power on the fly, but dont know what the best to go with or if I should go with something else. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. It is a daily driver but i want it to have some balls that can get up and go. I also have a 12000lb trailer I pull every now and then. Thanks

I would recommend a exhaust along with your planed upgrades. Then start looking at chips. DP, PHP, TW are all great. Call them up and tell them what you have and what you plan to do with it and they will be able to set you up with a chip and tunes.

Ignore exhaust until you need it. Gauges then chip. There are negligible power gains to be found in an exhaust, only decrease in EGTs. If EGTs are not an issue, spend your money elsewhere. Wish i did.

Gauges, replace fuel pressure regulator, chip, replace injector o-rings. In that order.

Nonconformist. Functionality over bling.

My three rules for 7.3l troubleshooting: 1) Replace CPS and keep a spare. 2) Replace FPR and know your fuel pressure. 3) Hook it to a scanner and check for codes.

I second waiting on exhaust. use that money for your chip.
I used to have a 99 cc 4x4 LWB SRW. I only put guages and TS chip (canned tunes) never had an issue with egt's. I used to pull loaded trailers, etc with no issues at all and this was on 120 race setting IIRC. The only issue was surge with stock turbo.

My current truck; I have done all kinds to and have always had egt issues and now a slight loss in boost anlong with crappy fuel mileage (10winter & 12-12.5summer).

Depending on your plans; I will honestly say that guages, ts style chip and something to fix turbo surge is all the avg guy needs. I wouldn't mess with all the other little mods, unless you really want to.

EDIT: the only other mod worthwhile is a 6.0 tranny cooler
