Chip order question

Im about to order a 6 position type chip and have narrowed it down to either a DP-Tuner or Tony Wildman tunes. One question I have is DP requires the pcm code and on TW's order form its optional. Is there a reason for this? Are the Dp tunes more truck specific and the TW kind of "canned"? One thing making me lean towards DP is they offer a no start option. Thanks for any input.

I recently order a chip from TW. I didnt add the pcm code. Tunes are awesome, couldnt be happier.

No, both are custom.
I'm not sure why some ask for the PCM code and some don't.
I betcha the Tony can write a no start code. I'd ask him.

I just ordered a dp-tuner... Should be receiving it tomorrow. I will let u know how I like it.

i have Tony Wildman tunes, and I am satisfied. I dont feel the need to try other tuners.

I installed my DP F6 Chip last night and I love it! Just what I was looking for. I used the dash mount (currently unmounted) but I found a nice, descrete location for it to go... Definely worth the money. Very drivealbe and good shift points. EGTs are a little high, but I am working on that now. Also, I am getting ready to do some trial tunes, which is one of my favorite features of this chip! Any future mods, and I can get the tunes sent to me without having to send the chip back!

Oh, and might I add that normal driving my EGT temps are down about 150* from the superchips, but at WOT they are getting a little high... We'll see what we can do about that.

If you ever intend to put HID headlights in your truck, you better go with Tony....

DP has defective hardware that is more susceptible to interference from outside sources, like the headlights, than any other tuner on the market. Their tunes are good, what they put them In is not!
