It is worth it??? 6.0 inner and tranny cooler...
A local junkyard just got in a 6.0 that had been flipped, and I was thinking about getting the innercooler and tranny cooler off of it.
Tranny cooler $65 Inner cooler $150 Headlights $110ea (for a later conversion on my 01 they are HD edition lights) What do you guys think? |

Transmission cooler, definitely
Intercooler, nah... you won't see much difference (if any at all) in your EGTs Headlights, yeah if they're in good shape! The 6.0 intercooler is only slightly bigger than yours. |

Thanks for the reply guys... I'll be picking up the cooler in a lil while. Still thinking on the headlights. They look to be in good shape, but I could almost buy new ones for that price... Decisions, decisions...

I think the lights are overpriced...
You can buy HD NEW lights for 150 shipped ![]() They work just the same as factory but are NEW |

Eli, not sure what you meant by that statement but...
I've had both Eagle Eyes and DEPO aftermarket HD headlights and believe me when I say, they do not produce the same output as OEM Harley headlights. They look identical from the outside, but at night when you're driving - they're much different. The aftermarket ones aren't bad, but my OEM ones are definitely brighter and have greater light output. Not calling you out Eli, by any means - I just want people to know that if they have an option of getting OEM HD headlights vs. Aftermarket HD headlights for the same price (or comparable), go for the OEM ones. And hell, I don't even know if what OP has found in the junkyard are OEM headlights or not... just throwing this little fact out there. |
