Please Help (indentify turbo)

So I just purchased (without seeing) what was supposed to be a thruster 2. Waited forever, finally showed up and it aint that I'm sure.

Garrett All over it Model: gtp-3801
P/n: 466915-9011R
s/n: BB2503-1


1.10 AR housing
.84 a/r M1
casting number 452656


Please help

I think that's a stocker. Gtp38 is a late 99 Turbo. Thruster has a 1.0 a/r exhaust housing, not a .84 .

Lets see if these pisc work and if that helps anyone. I am so confused.. I read that the thruster 2 is in fact .84 exhaust side, others say its 1.0 Input is appreciated. I do trust the guy I bought this thing from so I am pretty sure its a thruster 2 with a 1.10 a/r intake housing that has been added. Input is greatly appreciated. Anyone have a thruster 2 that can let me know some of the things I can look for?

the thruster 2 is a garrett turbos with stuff done to it (not quite sure what all they do). the descriptions sounds like a thruster 2 not a just a stock turbo. I wonder where the 1.10 ported housing comes from tho. I'd be interested in ordering one of those.

Sold 2001 f250 ccsb 4x4 400/400, dual terminators, swamps 80mm bfh, headers, bts and all the usual supporting mods. 715hp fuel only.

I will inquire about the housing for you. I had turbo depression there but I'm pretty stoked to mount this prick up. I am running the php tunes, out of the box should this thing run more boost? I see a c-hair over 30 when shes pinned.. Am i Crazy to set it up for 35psi without studs? Cause thats the plan

So, I called the guy I bought the turbo from.. He says he has 3 more exactly the same as the one I bought. He is located in Van BC but said he would be more than willing to cross the border and ship from Washington. He has given me a "friend" price on all 3 if I can sell them. What would a fair price be for these shipped to ones doorstep? Lets see if I can make some "mod" cash here! haha

You by chance find out where that compressor housing comes from?

Its not a ported compressor housing. Its a stocker. When you hear of a 1.0 or 1.15 a/r housing, its talking about the turbine housing. Look here and you will see exact Turbo on eBay......

I'm glad you just pointed out it wasn't a ported housing. I saw it on my computer and it looked ported then went back just now on my phone and saw it was stock. I was thinking it was a ported garrett housing. Thanks for pointing that out hvac.
