Programmer Question

Some of the programmer units say that they will connect to my computer and download new tunes or allow me to manipulate settings.

Seems like a desirable function would be to download the stock settings from the programmer to the computer or a memory stick so that if the programmer ever failed you could get back to the stock settings with another programmer. No??

I like the idea of having a memory stick (with desired settings) that interfaces with the OBDII port. Plug the device in and when power is applied, the settings are downloaded to the truck. I'm still learning about programmers, so maybe these things already exist...

That is a good idea, but I don't know if there is one out there that will do just that?

yup good idea but i dont know of any programmer what will allow you to do that...for your 7.3L the best programmer is the Edge EVO.. its the one im running
