which brands to go with?

hey, ive just recently purchased a 05 f250 with the 7.3 powerstroke (here in Australia the 7.3 is available past 03) and being new to fuel injected turbo diesels and living ni australia, i somewhat lack the exposure to all the aftermarket brands and products.

I was wondering what the best options would be to make the 7.3 go like it should. At the moment im thinking of going with the Banks big hoss bundle (big hoss module, six gun tuner, intercooler, twin 4" pipes, trans controller, wastegate actuaor, turbo dump pipe, and compressor wheel) as well as turbo housings and cold air intake.
But was wondering in your opinions if there were other companys/brands that i would be better to go with.

Im not new to making turbo diesels go better and am a Mechanic by trade but im used to doing it by winding the boost up and screwing with the injector pump

Any help you could give me would be greatly appreciated

Most everyone will tell you to stay away from banks stuff. There are much better options out there. I would get a 4" MBRP kit for the exhaust, do a DIY intake if you can get ahold of the filter, gauges, and a chip. I think most of the chip burners will ship internationally. That should help wake the truck up.

I have S&B Intake and 4" turbo back MBRP exhaust and am happy with both.
Wastegate actuator can be found at dieselsite.com
Wicked Wheel or whatever you want to call it can be found about anywhere
I have no experience with Trans controller.
Unless you are going to go huge on the power I am not sure you need a new intercooler?
I could be wrong...

Smile which brands

Let me know how you go with the MBRP 4 INCH exhaust. Just got one for my 1999 F250 and the down pipe was touching the gearbox. Put the original 3 inch on and adapted the rest to the 4 inch and its awesome !!

I agree, 100%

As far as chips.... a Custom Tuned TS Chip is the way to go for a 7.3

And I am VERY happy with my tunes from PHP. Very highly recommended!
