PHP MPG

im looking into getting a PHP chip for my truck but i was wondering what kind of MPGS you guys are getting from it? also throw in any cons or +s you guys have with PHP ive heard hes the god of tuners but i have no clue.. REALLY GOOD PRICE! TOOO

LOVE his tunes. One of the tunes I have is the 80 hp DD tune which is supposed to be like an econo tune, but I got 8.5 mpg when I tried it on a full tank. Switched it back to stock setting and only used the chip for having fun. I'm trying it on the 100 hp Performance tune now for a whole tank so i'll let you know in about a week. This last tank I got 17.6 mpg with a mix of stock, 120 race, fooling around, and it's been in the 100 performance setting for the last 200 miles. That's why i'm trying it on a whole tank. Stock I usually get 15-17, that's my base line.

Tunes dont get you much better MPG. But my EGTs are down, and its easier to drive.

I gained 2-3mpg with the chip/intake/exhaust combo.

I run mostly on 80economy (on interstate) or 100performance (Highway/back roads) and I average 16-18mpg.

Tom has a point. I gained +1 mpg from the chip over my DP. But I have gained 3-4 MPG since I bought the truck.

No increase here, on any of the tunes econo-tow-performance-race...

...but then we didn't buy it for MPG, we bought it to comfortably tow 10,000 pound RV

I just took out a banks big hoss level four. Put in a tyrant TS chip with custom tunes. Took a 300 mile road trip, my trip computer started out at 16.1, when I got home it was 20.8 mpg. Much easier to drive, better power 32lbs boost! oh my. Tyrant diesel is the only tuner I will use from now on.
