Tuner/ programer advice.

Hey guys I just bought a 2001 F250 4X4 with the 7.3 I was thinking about purchasing the Ford Juice with Attitude CTS by Edge for the truck. Do you guys have any advice as to wether this is a good product? I not looking to race my truck or anything just boost the performance some. Thanks in advance for your input.

Complete garbage, ts chip tuned by swamps, beans, gearhead, tyrant, php, tony wildman ect is much better

There are many tuners that are far superior to the Edge stuff, TS chips are among the best for the money.

I've had a Edge Juice with Attitude on my 01 350 for a couple of years now with no problems.

I bought the Edge because it allowed me defuel based on a set EGT which seemed like a good idea for towing (which is the only reason I bought the unit).

"Complete Garbage" is pretty strong words. Have anything to back up that opinion?

The only good thing an Edge programmer is good for is Blowing up your tranny!!! Trust me, sooner or later you will grenade your trans. Get a good set of tunes and some good autometer gauges to watch your egt, trans, and boost gauges and youll be alot better off.

Yeah i ran it, no power, sloppy shifts. I have a bts because of the raggedy a$$ junk. And if ypu had decent tunes egts wouldn't be a problem.

Really?

I've had my Edge on the truck for over 100,000 miles, and no "grenaded" tranny. So, I'd say its unfair at best to guarantee that it will happen. By the way, the only choices for any type of tranny control is to defuel or not defuel during "wide open throttle" shifts. Obviously, defueling during wide open shifts should be easier on the tranny.

Trans temps never go above 180 even when towing. I don't "race" the truck anyway, and I doubt I'll have any trans troubles as a result of using the box.

No power? Sloppy shifts? How did that cause you to buy a transmission?

No offense, but it sounds to me like someone beats on his truck a bit...
