couple questions
Whats the best way to launch this thing with a stock tranny/stall. i have a 4x4 but i always have it on 2wd. should i put it on 4x4 low? or keep it in 2wd. i dont burn out too much but wouldn't all wheel drive give me a better launch?
and im lookin for a 6.0 intercooler to buy shortly. but is there any turbo mods that are worth while right now? wga mods, bigger turbo? thanks |

Put it in 4Hi....stomp on the brake, build boost to about 15psi..(or right up to the point that it tries to move), when light is green, let the brake out and stomp the fuel pedel, HANG ON!!! You can switch the 4Hi to 2Hi when ever you want. Usually after you start slowing down.

4 hi should be good until 35-40 mph? i didnt think u could switch it while u were in motion? im gonna try it.

in a straight line you should be fine in 4Hi.....

If your going straight, you can do 1000mph in 4HI. Just don't turn!!! Personnally, I turn the knob when I hit 3rd gear.
The transfercase isn't going to disengauge until the load is off of it anyway, so as long as your on the pedel, your going to be in 4HI. |

so for the track its best to be in 4 hi? I'm definitly going to try it next time. it will be the first time at the track in this truck.

any1 wanna take a guess on what my times are gonna be like? im possibly going next weekend.

Try both 2WD and 4x4, 2WD you will need more finesse and practically no boost launch on street tires, just stall up the converter a little and roll into it.
The time in my sig could drop the ET by two tenths MAX Im guessing if I launched in 4x4. I ran another 14.9 previous to that, and a 15.02. |
