do i really need a fully built tranny? can i order parts to rebuild myself?
k guys. parts are on the way. adrenaline pump. gt38r and still gotta save a little more for injectors. late 99 f350. going to go to stage 2s. not sure brand yet. single shot tho.
question is. am i going to need a fully built tranny? or are there kits that i can order to build myself so i save a little cash. i know i could build it. what are your guy's ideas? i assume everyone is going to say bts. does bts sell parts or can you only get there stuff by having them build it? thanks in advanced. |

BTS does have parts that, if you later choose to, can be transplanted into the new trans from them.
I got a Factory Tech valve body which firms up shifts and keeps it cooler. I like it. I'd also get an external trans filter. I built one like DieselSite's. Of course a giant 6.0 cooler is a good idea always, no matter what. I think the option is to use a 5R110 torque converter in place of your stock one. |

Not to derail but how long did it take to get your core refund? I've been waiting almost a month now
