Early 99 Turbo upgrade

Have early 99...150k miles Just grabbed a used 6.0 intercooler.. looking to upgrade turbo. Thoughts? Brand etc?

as far as turbo you only really have 1 drop in optino and that is a D66 from beans diesel performance. Now if you want to run a larger charger such as a 38r then you'll have to convert to the later style pipes. Same with a t4 charger, thats what i did. i called and talked to Jake @ Irate diesel performance and i bought his t4 mount with s366 charger

I just purchased the same kit from Jake. Did the install go pretty decent? have all of the parts? How do you like the charger? Do you have stock sticks? Pretty big upgrade over stock setup? Any recommendations for install? Thanks

When I went with his kit it was pretty new out on the market so there was some issues with installation. Dealing with the drain plug in the valley was hard until we found it once we found the plug and drained oil from the turbo to their went smoothly. Separately I had to order all new boots because the kit did not come with any. But now there is ways a round that. I think now that he's been in business a few years he has install guide to help you along the way we did not have one.

Iran for two years on stocks sticks with the turbo and never had any issues. I was running Tony's tunes any range from daily driving to the race , towing without any problems. It was a big change from stock. The .91 housing really helped spool up without Fuel. Since then I have stepped up to larger injectors. Still a nice small turbo to have. In the near future it will be replaced with a much larger turbo for much larger injectors. Because my current setup has Maxted out without having to waste money on adding a gate to it
