EGT Whats safe?

The more things I do to my truck the more things I worry about lol I did the DIY intake, 6 position chip, 4" turbo back exhaust and now gauges. So now I'm stareing at these gauges wondering whats normal and when I should be concerned. For example when I accelerate fast I can watch the EGT climb like crazy up towards 1000*but then it quickly comes back to 7-800* When I switched my chip to 100hp and got on it the temp shot up to bout 1200* then again came back down once I let off. During normal driving its around 6-800. So is this normal or should I be worried?

Sounds normal.

Just don't run it above 1200* for extended periods of time and you will be fine.
