EBV delete question

I have a gutted pedestal, along with the valve cut out. My question is, is it necessary to have the back pressure tube and sensor? I just saw my tube is rotted, can I plug the manifold, or do I buy a new tube?

You need the tube and sensor. I would buy a new tube.

What does it still control if there isn't a back pressure valve?
