beans diesel 6 pos chip install

is there a special process other than disconnection the batteries and should the check engine light come on ,, and lastly how long does it take the computer to learn new codes

No. There should be an install on here somewhere. Or on one of the sites who sells chips.
When did the CEL come on? Driving? Stopped?
The PCM doesn't learn the codes. The chip supplies them right away.

i just got the truck started for the first time in 4 months and its got a new cpm but when it fired runs good minus the air in the oil that I'm still working out but i unhooked the batteries plugged chip in and hooked batteries up tried starting and the wts light didn't come on and cel did and just kept cranking but never fired

clean the pcm more. take a toothpick and make sure all the wax is off

No WTS light is no PCM power. So DenTex is right about cleaning off the contacts.

Hit PHP and check the writeup they have on installing their product. It'll be the same as the one you have. He goes over cleaning the contacts correctly and if you have problems, even having the contacts re-tinned.
