horsepower and torque numbers?
Had this truck a year now...first diesel. 2001 f250, whoever had it before put on garrett 38r turbo, 4" exhust, afe filter, snow performance meth injection, bullydog gauge tuner...and a sweet alpine touch screen dvd nav system. I'm sure theres other stuff done that I dont know about. What kind of hp & tq numbers you think its puttin out? Been a very dependable daily driver and that turbo makes sweet noise...thanks!

300/650 if you're lucky. i don't know how aggressive bullydogs tunes are

factory rwhp is about 220...right? Never had anything to compare it to. I know it runs good, pulls a 30ft teton like its nothin. Only work was replacing the gpr.

checked bullydog website...in the extreme setting it shows 96hp gain and 167tq gain. with the other goodies I figure I'm closer to 400hp and 700tq. Throttle response is excellent and can keep up with any duracrap or cum-ons I've put it up against.

you can't get to 400hp without bigger injectors, that is probably around where I am HP wise with my mods

so if the engine makes 220 stock and you add 96 that equals 316 at the flywheel, where are the other 80 horses come from? i doubt you're makin over 300 at the wheels and i guess you've never came across a tuned duramax or cummins because they are bad fast when tuned right

bully dogs advertised numbers aren't exactly true. That's on california models and if the tuner works for multiple years and vehicles it's the highest gain hp and torque gain from all of them. I'd go with probably 300 and 600ish

Well i had my truck on the dyno last feb and i only put down 285, thats with ts chip, intake, exhaust, nothing special and it set on 100 hp setting. Yeah they were canned tunes. Kinda curious if it be that big of a difference with TW custom tunes.

About the most I've seen without bigger injectors is around the 325hp mark and about 700 tq. Bullydog tunes aren't going to get you there. The meth injection might help some, but I would still guess right around 300ish to the wheels. I know mine only put down 265 to the wheels but it wasn't a load dyno and it never built any decent boost. As long as it pulls like you want it to and is reliable (and with the bullydog that's questionable), I wouldn't sweat it.

With a 38r the previous owner might have installed injectors? The only thing that matters is if your satisfied.
