tranny ideas?

ok guys im new to this but i plan on building up my truck to about 400hp but im not sure what all i need to do to my tranny?i was thinkin a revmax torque convertor??or any suggestions are needed.lol

got any suggestions on a brand of one??and i already got the 6.0 cooler but someone said prolly a torque convertor?

Well you can call up either ATS, BTS, or John Woods and ask them bout their torque converters they can sell to you. I personally have a ATS tranny and i so far have no complaints with the trans.

My only problem with ats is I've heard to many issues with them and the fact they have been notoriously known as "purple grenades"

Along with your 6.0 cooler, a valve body, torque converter and maybe a deep trans pan. TCI and B&M are always a good place to look for trans parts. Depending on how hard you work your truck, shafts might be something to look into.

alrighty thanks guys...i dont run mine are all the time its juss a weekend truck and i plain on building it up pretty good...the truck has 210,000 miles on the tranny so i know i got to build it first.lol when i get a torque convertor..what ratings should i look into and what stall..and suggestions?
