php /ts chip switch questions

I have the php chip with the 6 tunes.They sent me a 9 position switch,my question is where do the tunes start? are the first 3 not used or what?It runs on all of them?They close at 3 even though i called at 345 est-they should have been open.Anyone ran into this?

There is a washer with a lil finger on it, closest to the back of the switch. put the finger in the 6 slot
