Horsepower gains?

Hey guys, I have a 2002 f-250 that I just put a 4" mbrp exhaust and a s&b intake on and it completely woke the truck up! A ton more power! I was wondering if anyone with close to the same set up ever did a before and after dyno test? (HP and Tourqe)... Just curious to see what I might have gained number wise by those two upgrades.

Thanks

Needa get your butt dyno recalibrated. With those two modifications I highly doubt you felt any extra power. The only difference I noticed with mine was that it spooled up a bit faster and it was louder.

I'll be throwing mine on a dyno tomorrow. I don't have a before, but I'll see what a stock truck with an AIS intake and 4" MBRP exhaust will put out @ 195000 miles.

I think Toms01PSD is correct though.. the power you think you have is probably because it's is less restricted and you feel it come on quicker. Overall, it's probably maxing out the same, but the power/torque curves are different now.

I know what I felt .... I go up the same hill everyday and it used to bog down, smoke a little, And have to downshift .... Now I don't have to push on the pedaling harder, there is no downshift and there is no smoke ..... I don't see how those mods wouldn't give it more power .... The Stock setup is so restrictive...

I'm not some first time driver ... I know when my truck has more power and when it doesn't.

Aftermarket intakes and exhausts allow the truck to breathe better. I have a 6637 intake and a 4" turbo back MBRP exhaust. Like I said before, no noticeable power, just that it spools up quicker and the torque comes on sooner.

If you want more power, get a chip! THAT is noticeable power!

You'll see good gains with a good chip. Beans Diesel has great tunes.
