TS performance 6 position switch questions

I'm looking at ditching my banks six-gun system and going to the T'S Performance 6 position switch with valet/stock/50/75/100/140 is this a good idea? Good company? Any other suggestions

2002 F-250 7.3L
KMC Rockstar 18x9 Rims, BF Goodrich A/T 37X12.5R18, Fabtech 6 inch lift, Banks six-gun tunner, Banks BigHead wastegate, Banks Transcommand, Banks Ottomind, Banks Monster Single Turbo back exhast (no cat), and a JL audio system with 2 13.5 subs DB 1500watt amp, all four compont speakers, kenwood deck. JL HD amp.

Definitely a good choice in ditching that Banks! As for the TS it will be an improvement but custom tunes would be better. I personally suggest the PHP Phoenix 6 position chip. Its only $295 and comes with your choice of 6 tunes. Some examples: stock/80DD/65tow/140 race/high idle/no start. The tunes are up to you of course. Hope this helps, and good luck no matter which way you decide to go!

customs tunes are much better. tuned to YOUR truck and the mods you have done. I have TW tunes. there are other swamps, gearhead, PHP, etc

94.5 F250 Reg Cab 4x4 5 speed 4.10 276000 plus miles

so they are tuned for my truck, do I tell them what I have and they will make the tunes there or do I need to take the truck somewhere to get it tuned?

so it looks like the 140 extreme is not recommend for my truck because the rods.

also how good does the "SmokeShow™" setting work on the 7.3? because I know we can't put the switch on our trucks to make it smoke, but will this work? I know its a dumb feature but its something cool to have to play with..

Yes you will fill out a questionnaire type thing about your truck and they tune it to the mods you have etc. The high idle tune temporarily raises the idle of the truck to 1,200 RPM to run a winch, help warm up the truck, cool off the cab in the summer etc. As for the smokeshow I do not know because I have never used it but IMHO I think its a waste of a tune.

Whats the use of the loped? setting? just make it sound like a big block? forgive me but I'm just trying to figure out what modes I want in my set up

1)Stock or Modified Stock
2)65hp Daily Driver
3)100hp Performance
4)120hp Race
5)140hp Extreme (not sure if they will let me since mine is a 02?)
6)SmokeShow™ (I know but its just for the show/the people in the convertibles that won't get out of my way)
or 6)Lope Idle (but Im not sure what this is useful for?)


do the early model 02's have the better rods? whats the cut off year for this? ill check my production date tomorrow.
