Stacking chips and programmers

I have a hypertech programmer set on the highest setting. I'm not impressed with it, no smoke, no roasting tires, nothing. Just better mileage and smoother shifts. I have a chip that was in my truck when I bought it. It adds more power than the hypertech. Can I stick the chip in the ecu with the hypertech program loaded?

I say that you can... but can't tell you for sure how your truck will act.... I have a TS and Edge... and when I have tried to stack both of them on the highest settings my clutch started to slip sooo.... dont' know for sure how much more power it will get out of it like that... maybe someone will be able to come by soon to offer more insight on this..

Just had my trans rebuilt and they said it should stand up to whatever I throw at it so I'm not worried about that. Some say you can stack and some say no. Just don't want to hurt the motor.

a module that fools your injector presure such as the edge Ez, or the edge juice, granatelli G, quadzila, and a few others out there can be stacked with chips and programers. but you cant stack a chip with a programer or a programer with a programer it just doesnt do any thing. one or the other will cance each other out and the two working against each other will actualy hurt your performance.

YOU CAN TRY IT BUT IT REALLY NOT GOIN TO DO ANYTHING. IF YOU WANT POWER AND SMOKE GET A FLIP CHIP AND YOULL LOVE IT. THAT HYPERTECH IS GOOD IF YOUR AN OLD MAN BUT IT SOUNDS LIKE TO ME ME YOU WANT SOME SERIOUS POWER

What gets me is that my friend has an identical truck as mine, he had the hypertech on his and it would smoke like crazy. Mine just blows some thin whispy smoke and that's it. Also, I've had people tell me they put a hypertech or superchips programmer on their stock truck and they could mash it from a 30 roll and burn the tires off. I think they're full of it. My friend gave me the programmer. If I paid $350 for it, I'd be pretty disappointed.

do you have supporting mods like intake and exhaust... oh and what year is your truck... i run the edge Evo which is a programmer and i get crazy smoke out of it... also tried the granatelli fuego programmer and it gave me good smoke too.... what psi are you getting? you might have some other problem thats not related to the programmer....

99 7.3. Tymar, stock exhaust, no cat no muffler. My truck has been well cared for, motor runs excellent. Had it scanned when the trans went out and all checked out well.

I get about 20 psi of boost. I've noticed with my chip at 70 mph i'd be running about 10 psi. With the hypertech, I only get 5 or 6 psi.
