Question for PHP FU owners
I'm flip-flopping between getting a PHP FU and a Phoenix chip for my truck. I'm just wondering if I'll really bother with changing my tunes.
Those of you that have a FU, do you change your tunes often or never or did you at first, then the novelty wore off and you've settled into a set of tunes and it stay with them? If you never change or have settled into a set of tunes, what tunes do you use? My truck is what I have in my signature. The intake and exhaust are going in this weekend and next. My truck is mostly my daily driver, I pull a 17.5' boat on weekends in the summer, but a round trip to the lake is less than 10 miles, and I pull an almost 8000lbs travel trailer about a dozen times a year (could be a 10 mile trip... Could be a few thousand miles). |

I would say to go with the Phoenix then since it doesn't sound like you will really need to be changing the tunes that often if ever. I would just get like sotck/80dd/a tow tune/a play tune/ then what ever else you think you may want.

I like the part that when I put in bigger injectors and turbo I wont have to send my chip in for a re-burn. Just get ahold of them, they write the tune, I pay $30, download it and flash it.

I have the Fu I tried all the settings at least once to see how each one done on my truck then settled in for 6 but it makes it nice if you plan on injectors or other stuff that needs custom burning

1- whisper 2-80dd 3-100 aggressive 4-lope idle 5-120 race 6-smoke only got the smoke to show a buddy how it worked cause he's ordering a phoenix But I'm really pleased with service performance and everything I'll be getting some stage 2's around spring so I'll get to test there custom tunes

I get more smoke out of my 120 race tune than smoke I'll be removing the smoke tune soon I just didn't want my bud to waste a spot on his phoenix that could be replaced with a tow tune or something

If only I could get PHP to call me back. Their popularity may be their undoing...
Which also concerns me since the delivery model for the tunes on the FU chip is online only. You want to reburn your chip, you pull them from PHP's server. What happens, for whatever reason, PHP and/or their website goes away (temporary outage or a irreverent situation)? No more "free upgrades" or even changing the tunes on my chip. I'd feel more comfortable if you got a disc of their tunes for your truck... That would be nice for times when I'm traveling and may not have access to Internet (or a good connection) and need/want to reburn the chip. The plus side on this is that the FU chip is comparable in prices of others 6 tune chips ad as long as PHP is in buisiness, all is well. |

Yea getting thru on the phone or a callback is a little hard. But I'm only few miles away and they stay swamped and Corey has health problems which is understandably so just a little patients with them
