6637 intake...where does the IAT go?

I just left it under the filter..should I drill a hole in the intake somewhere for it? Or will it be fine as long as it is close

Its fine, I just zip tied mine to the brake master cylinder.

Same here. I just ziptied it safely out of the way, making sure it wouldn't chafe against any wires.

I used a pipe holder and bolted it to the bottom of the air box below the filter. It's got plenty of room so the filter isn't rubbing on it.

i cut mine off and put tape around the bare wire ends. the IAT is worthless
