PMRs?? (safety)

Hello,
My question is. Will my stock powder metal rods hold up with the mods i already have plus a DP F5 tuner on 140hp aggressive tune or would i be in a danger zone?

I cant afford to break my truck I use it everyday and i do plan on putting forged rods in it but for now i was just wondering.

The mods i already have are as follows: S&B II cold air intake, 4" turbo back MBRP exhaust with muffler, XDP X-wheel / wicked wheel, Boost, trans temp. and pyro. gauges, foil delete, Over boost annihilator, zoodad and Super Chips tuner but i will take that off for the DP, that's it for now I'm waiting till after I replace my rods to do anymore than that. Thanks for any help.

It will hold up just fine. You will have to do more mods like injectors and such for it to get into danger range

I don't think your going to gain 140hp without injectors

I would be afraid of the tuning more then anything...

Otherwise you will not hurt PMR's with GOOD tuning.

You will be just fine. The 140 a brings the power on stronger down low in the program and is flat up top.

You are in more danger running stock then using a chip.

Just FYI- Our 2003 Excursion shown here is running CSIPSD's programming Jody did 4 years ago.

The motor is still together.

Diane... You just could not resist could you...

To the OP... There is a well known history with DP tuner and scrap metal recycling...

Here are some tuning maps for you to chew on before you think 140agressive is a "safe" tune...

Here is the tuning on my truck about 3 months before the block just could not take it anymore...

MMMM timing... Its whats for dinner...

Worst mistake I ever made was trusting DP tuner to safely tune my 7.3 diesel...

Oh and note to what ever Moderator gets the reported post when Diane comes back to *****... She took the first swing... I did not mention DP tuner in my first post.
