quick question on oil filter

I am about to order an Donaldson ELF 7405 oil filter, since there primarily on cat diesels i called up my local cat dealer, had to cross reference the Donaldson filter so cat has too difference filters the p5504005 at 118mm and a p554105 at 135mm they have the 135mm in stock right now and they say its the larger capacity, i need to know or make sure that this one is going to fix and work with out leaking all over the place... any help would be great thanks

truck is a 02 f350 7.3L

Don't think it will fit, get the Donaldson

This is the Donaldson filter but it has too different sizes 118mm and 135mm

Find my BHOF thread. I've been doing research and the one that is the 'original' BHOF is the biggest one that will fit.

where is the best place to order these online?? when i talked to cat they cross referenced it with there donaldson/ cat p5504005 filter but it was a standard not a extended life so i am just going to have to order it online because i seem not to be able to find anyone around here that sells them

Ryder seems to have them for the cheapest....

Oil filter, ELF7405, Donaldson

The ELF7405 is 118mm (a littler under 5") and is pretty tight against the pan.

hey thanks for your help, this donaldson filter thing is starting to become a pain in the *** and it really shouldnt be... the ryder site that you just sent me says i need to buy 6 of them at one time...
