Bully Dog vs Super Chip

Just bought a 2000 f 350 that seller said has a bully dog chip. But there is no dial or way to change the settings. I have not seen it but i drove the truck back and it has all kinds of power. My question is, I just totaled out my 01 f250, I took off my super chips programmer. Do I leave the chip, or take it off and use my tuner?

You are going to have to have the comp flashed if you didn't get the tuner with it. Save up and get a custom tuned chip bully dog runs hot and is hard on trannys superchips doesn't add much power and the tranny is really helped by it either

Do yourself a favor and your truck a favor and get the generic tunes out of it. Save some money and get customs tunes. There alot more power and safer. Dp tuner, tony wildman, swamps, beans, php. There all good tuners.

*** make sure you have the supporting mods for a chip before u put it in***

As Zrain said get the can tunes out of there before you destroy something. If you have to go for a canned tune go for the old edge evolution that looks like a gamboy. Sure it may not be the hottest thing out there but it gets the job done with less chance of burning something up. Im only running mine till I have the money for a custom tune from PHP.
