switched 10k, 18k

i wanted to try putting multiple resistors on a 6 position switch to do a modded version of the 10k mod. i was wondering if anyone else has tried this (probably yes), what resistors they've used, and how numerically high or low is too high or too low. also, if anyone knows the relationship between the higher and lower resistance and the oil pressure, for example, is the 10k higher or lower oil pressure than the 18k. i want to hear it all, but preferably from those that have first hand experience with it. i hate to start a new thread on a seemingly old topic, but there are so many high jacked and cross-referenced threads to sift through, not to mention how many sigs get pulled up in a search. thanks in advance to everyone. love the site!
