intake plenum
How hard would it be to change out the intake plenums just the way the truck sits? I am want to put on the BDP alum. ones with a late 99-03 spyder then maybe a D66

Not bad, some of the bolts are hard to get too... and you will need to pull the turbo and I think the fuel bowl... Otherwise about a 3 hour deal. Dont expect any huge gains, maybe a silghtly lower EGT...

im pretty sure you cant get to all of the passenger side plenum bolts w/o removing the hpop.

Also the D66 is for OBS and early 99's

I wonder is the the high HP guys (like 400+hp) are running aftermarket intake plenems, or are the factory plenems sufficient?

Im running the factory ones on both of my trucks.
|
|
|||
|
Im running beans billet plenums. With high boost its hard to keep the boots on the stock plenums. If you over tighten the clamps the plenums can crush.
