Quick Question on added TrueCool
I added a True Cool online with my stock cooler about 6000 miles ago. I also put a small filter in the line before the fluid goes into the TrueCool. Everything seems to be working fine but I wanted some piece of mind. Is there enough pressure from the transmission to circulate the fluid through the stock cooler, small filter, and truecool and then back without loosing too much pressure to rob the transmission of oil?

Well I guess you could unhook the line going back to the tranny, turn the truck on and see how big of a mess you can make. The bigger the mess the better the flow

I would say you should unless the filter or a cooler plugs up.

Is there a pump in the transmission that circulates the fluid through the lines?

I am not sure if it has a designated pump for just the cooling but watch your temp guage I see in you sig you have one if it starts running hotter than normal check your filter

i dont think that an inline filter is a good idea, what if it gets plugged up and stops flow of fluid back to the transmission
if you wan to leave the filter in there (whiich is a good idea to have) it should be a bypass filter running in parallel with the lines and not in series, that way if it plugs up there still is another route for the fluid |
