I was reading through different threads and someone said something about getting a "ts" style chip what are the differences I hear of DP, PHP, Beans, etc.
Basically what I have now is the Banks "Big Hoss" 120hp stacked with the Six Gun tuner, Banks turbo (this is the same as the 38R) correct?? Big Head wastegate, 4 " turbo back exhaust, Airaid intake.
haha, no you don't have a 38r and no your banks stacked with banks are not even close to to a ts chip with tuned by beans or any of the other people you mentioned. sorry you wasted all that money
I asked a simple question....and you did not even remotely come close to answering it from trying to bash someone! I said nothing about my banks chip was better than the TS or anyone else of the guys I had mentioned. About the turbo, I asked "if" it was the same (not it is the same).
I posted what I had on the truck for future questions I was going to ask.
So if someone could answer my original question that would be great. Also what is the difference between the banks turbo and the 38r
Ok let hold your hand and walk you through this. Ts is the hardware that many people put their tunes on (swamps, beans, tyrant, gearhead, php, two, di ect). Dp tuner company that tunes but uses their own specific chip by moats. If you run dp expect your truck to shut off if you have hid's, if you run a ts you can try many different tuners. A 38r has a 66mm inducer and an 88mm exducer were as a stock gtp 38 has a 60mm inducer and 80mm exducer. 38r is ball bearin
Ok thanks! Now for my next ?? And you may not be able to answer since people drive different or some motors last longer than others but my truck has about 300,000 miles....should I be concerned about adding more power(doing damage). I was wanting to get a chip and stage 1 injectors would they do any harm with a high mileage motor.
unless stuff has been replaced along the way you risk ending parts lifes early. if your hpop is weak or anything else like that itll put more stress on it.
i didnt read all of this before i posted but the biggest concern is your tranny i didnt see if you had a different tranny.
and the banks and 38r are not the same. banks doesnt use ball bearings like the 38r idk if they are even the same size. :thumb::thumb: if any of that doesnt make sense let me know and ill rephrase it as it is kinda late right now
