I'm running the banks transcommand on my truck and it seems to be pretty nice. The shifts are fast and solid when i have a load on and fast and smooth when I'm cruising around. I hand a bully dog shift kit on my last transmission and it wasnt nearly as good as the trans command.

Also I see your going to go with DP tuner. He will be able to program firmer shifts for you if that is what you desire. Otherwise better yet get yourself a valve body and improve your shifts mechanically. Here is a great writeup for you to check out Welcome to guzzle's BTS Valve Body Web Page Just some other options for you to look at

The dp would be better because he can do everything custom. Sure the banks is good but it is designed for everything where as the dp can be custom, for your truck.

understood. To be honest my TS chip doesnt shift as crisply as the Diablo Programmer did....now I have added the Sonnax kit and solved it mechanically.

Yep, A valve body is the best way to get the shifts you want, along with good tuning.

I'm running a Transcommand on my 2000 F250 and it's not bad. Shifts are good and firm but not overly firm. Just installed a TS 6 position and need to take the transcommand out I think because the shifts are so much harder now. If there is anyone out there that know the color of the 3 wires that were in the factory pin locations I would appreciate the info.
