EBPV?????
I disconnected the EBPV wire terminal with the metal clip under the turbo but it still feels and sounds like the EBPV valve is opening for the first 5 minutes of running in the morning. Has anyone had this happen after unplugging the wire? It is not even cold here in south Florida.

Actually that is supposed to stop it from closing.

So does that mean it is closing when its cold even though its not connected?

Oh sorry about that
Its probobly stuck partially closed all the time like mine was. You should be able to reach under the turbo and unhook the the ebpv from the actuating rod and open it hopefully. I will get you a pic here shortly to better explain it for you. If that doesn't work the only other option I can think of is you will have to remove the turbo to get at it.

I guess my next question should be does the hissing sound go away after 5 minutes? Has this done it more then once after unplugging?

Thanks for the picture, it is much easier to see it on the bench than in the truck. Do you know if the rod pushes the valve open or pushes it closed?

Both. It will actuate it closed when its cold out to put a load on the engine to aid in warmup and supposed to open when engine oil temps are up to operating temp.

Thanks for all the help, I will have to get in there this weekend and see whats happening. I guess an EBPV DELETE will be in the works.
