Pulled my trans out today to put a rear main seal in. Found out it has a stock replacement south bend in it with new one piece flywheel. The disc shows no wear and the flywheel and plate still have cross hatching they show no wear. When going back together i cleaned all grease off surfaces and put back together now my clutch slips pretty bad. I checked and the fork has play in it so there's no pressure on the plate. Anyone got any ideas really hoping my 500 dollar clutch didn't take a crap for trying to fix a 15 dollar seal
na i put it in correct. took about a week of driving on it but it finally stopped slipping. i dunno what happened. i even cleaned the flywheel, disc, and pressure plate before installing and made sure to keep my fingers off it as much as possible. but all well all good now. no more slipping
