Fuel pressure should be anywhere from 60-70psi. The stock pump doesn't do bad. But like Bruce said, much bigger than that then you might want to.
There's one pump, under the driver seat inside the frame rail.
A lot do a regulated return so solve the dead head fuel rails and keep air out of the injectors, delete the fuel bowl, and run either a FuelLab pump or dual stockers with pre and post pump filtration and a bigger pickup tube.
Yea stock is fine and even a mild tune. Steadier fuel pressure is always good but meh.
Don't worry about it.
If it's auto it's the 4R100. Not sure on power limits, but a good valve body will help. Also a bigger cooler helps.
The stock fuel pump will support like 450 and that's a hundreds more than tunes will get you. Some peoples cranny's last for 300k mine lasted 95k. Get a valve body and a nice cooler and don't drive like a fool and it will last for a while
I've got a Factory Tech by Gregg Evans and I like it. BTS or John Woods is good also.
The Ford V10 and 6.0 Powerstroke auto trans coolers both bolt DIRECTLY in place of the 7.3 cooler. The 6.0 cooler is about 3 times the size as the 7.3.
