I've been wanting to get a tuner for my truck which is a '00 F250 CC 4x4 with an auto. The truck runs good and is stock aside from a K&N filter from the previous owner.
I'm about to add some weight to the truck with the Ranch Hand bumpers and the truck is regularly driven and probably won't see much more weight than a car hauler and car.
I've heard good things about DP Tuners and after talking to them I was thinking about going with a no start, stock, tow, economy and performance settings for the rotary dial.
I was wondering if the lowest performance setting DP has which is 100 was too much for the truck/auto trans even if it's not used a lot and does the truck need any supporting mods? I'm not hard on vehicles and probably won't use the 100 setting much, but would like to have it if possible.
I enjoy the ease and driveability of the auto, but I can notice a little difference in power from the 6 speed trucks. I would like to give the truck a little more balls, but I don't want to modify this truck too much.
If there's are better suggestions for settings as well, I'm all ears.
