Different chips
I just bought a 99.5 PSD and am new to the whole diesel thing and have been reading about different chips and would like some advice. Right now I have an airaid intake, 4" turbo back exhaust, with a muffler that is going to be gone shortly, gauges, trans boost and egt, and the old Edge Evolution.
My question would be how much of a difference would I get if I ditched the Evolution and just got a DP tuner? From what I've been reading its a very good chip and so far I've yet to see any complaints. If anybody else has any suggestions on other chips, please post why you prefer it. Thanks! |

Just about any 6pos would be a BIG improvement over the Edge.
Why a 6 pos flip chip? Because you can get custom tunes, it's switch on the fly, and you can get anything programmed you want; different tunes, kill position, speed limiter, etc. |

Tony Wildman does some great tunes as well. But like was already said, any flip chip is great.

Thanks for the quick response! With the DP tuner from ITP what are the differences between the light town/economy settings both give 80 hp, and the smoke/extreme settings both give 140 hp?

from the research I have done the general consensus is you cant go wrong with Jody's, Tony's, or Elite's chips. I personally just got a DP from Jody and love it. I have been told that the stock HPOP cant keep up with the 140 tune on most chips, so if you have the stock pump you may want to consider the 120 tune.
