I have a few questions
Hey, i'm new to this forum and just recieved my grandfathers truck, a 2002 7.3 extended cab f350. Its nice, and I really like it, it just, of course, needs more get up and go.
my dad has a f350 with a superchips programmer that hauls butt pretty good. But as i understand it, these DP tuners are much better. Well, i found this kit at ITP diesel (the biggest kit), and it looks like a great deal. What sort of numbers (WHP and WTQ) would i be seeing with this kit? Also, what sort of numbers do yall have and whats your mods? Thanks a lot, Skipper |

to the ORG. Can you link us with the page for the kit you are talking? Most of your "stage 1" mods will get you about 100 hp give or take, and probably around 200 ft/lbs. Course, it all depends on the supporting mods ie: intake, exhaust, so on and so forth.

Welcome to the Org. Well I would say for a good foundation I this is what I would do. Tymar intake, straight pipe exhaust, Gauges or outlook, then get some type of custom tune either from dp, itp, tonywildman, dpp, ts performance, they are all pretty close to being the same but each one has there own unique thing. That is what is special about the different names. So that is my advice to you.
Now I have 2002, F-250 Crew Cab 4x4 7.3L. My setup is Tymar intake, 4 inch straight pipe exhaust Egt, Boost, Trans Temp gauge, ts performance 6 position chip. I am happy with it but like everyone else I want more. I also have a triple disc converter, and sun coast clutch packs in my transmission. |

Chip, Intake, Exhaust & Gauges Package
sorry bout that, heres the link. I mean i know yall probably don't have any exact readings of a 0-60 time, but if you had to estimate...? |

Ah - that does look like a nice kit!!
I would only be guessing to give you a number, but I would say at least 100 with the intake, exhaust, and chip... at least. Someone else will be along to give you a more exact number. |

also, what sort of boost are yall running on stock turbos?
|
|

with a programmer you could push 30 psi... stock usually runs about 16-18 ish...

With that set up and the highest setting on the chip your looking at a soild 300... up to about 320 if the HPOP is in good shape and your tranny is tight. Stock turbo is rated for 25#'s... Will it blow up the first time you hit 26... nope... but its past its rating... Most chips should put you around 27-30 tops. |
