EGT probe install concerns

I have narrowed my decisions down to the Edge Juice with Attitude, and the Quadzilla Commander with the xzillaraider. Both require that you drill and tap your exhaust manifold. I'm sure someone here has done it. Can you tell me how the install went. I'm a little concerned about drilling and taping with it still on the truck and metal getting into the turbo and the engine.

Dont worry about about it! I did mine a few weeks ago, and it was easy.
The metal shavings are very small. You will probably get more in your eyes then in your turbo!! What method are you using? Grease on drill bit or dry?
Enginee running or off?

i have to tell ya, i was probably the most worried person about drilling the manifold. after i was done drilling and tapping i was like man, i was worried over nothing. just take your time and it will go smoothly.

What ever will keep the most metal out of the turbo and engine probably grease the bit and tape use cutting fluid with both and keep the engine running. Can I disconnect the tube going from the manifold to the turbo? What did you install edge or quadzilla?

neither but im sure drilling is the same for all egt probes. i did mine dry, without the engine running. i just took more time vacuuming it out. i made srue nothing was in there, then tapped it, and repeated the vacuuming till all shavings were gone. its cake bro. just dont break the drill bit or tap off in the manifold. take your time and it will be good to go.

Installed the Edge. I did it with the engine off, w/ no grease.
I vacuumed out the shavings with the shop vac. The shavings from the tap are more like dust then shavings.
I think any way you do it will be easy. Like Walker said "TAKE YOUR TIME"
