Whats the best deal on a programer

I have a 01 cc 4x4 with 181k on it I want to get a programer to help fuel mileage and of corse a bit more power

I will just add that if you do decide to get a programmer you should get yourself some gauges to monitor the vitals of the truck. At the very least an exhaust gas temp gauge. I will let some of the other members chime in on the programmers.

I had the hypertech and that was alright. I recently got the DP tuner and am thoroughly impressed with it. It really does wake up the truck and puts it in a nother level. hope this helps

Thats kinda where im at I want to add somthing but im on a budgit right now and I dont know whether to go with somthing like an edge product that I can use for gages or if I should just get my gages then get a chip or somthing any advice is help full thanks (love this site only been here 4 days and know more than i have putting over 500k on ford diesels thanks)

I vote the hypertech in the 2001 it is just a bit of power 50 hp but you dont need gauges and if your not into racing and you just want a little more kick the hypertech is the way to go. It is very safe and you wont need to worry about damage to anything.
