:burnout The 80 econo setting runs sweet in my 00 350 6 spd. When I talked to Jody at dp about what tunes would be good for my truck, (I pull a gooseneck trailer quite a bit, usually 10-12k on it) he advised I only run the 60 tow setting when pulling. I've been running it a couple of weeks now and I'm real pleased with it. The egts stay around 700-1000 degrees which isn't bad. I run the 80 econo setting empty, and the 60 when towing. I guess 80 hp is 80 hp, but he's just changed the program a little bit between the econo and the tow settings to keep from melting parts.

from what he told me, the 80 econo is the version that got more and more agreesive, while the 80tow is the more original version. the throttle mapping is different...

maybe i am just bad at driving, but the 80 econo is hard to drive mellow on a stick... it is easty to drive if you want to drive like a jack rabbit all the time... i got a custom tune from him, and it is exactly what i like. the throttle is mapped as sotck for the first half, then as i romp on it or give it more gas than i normally would, it would pull hard, turbo would whine, and smoke starts belowing. its the perfect setup for me. he will amke you something, just tell him what you want.

also.. make sure you upgrade the clutch... the 80econo makes my clutch slips, and my custom tune makes it slip too. with a trailer, you have to feather it... my clutch had 35% left when i replaced it.... his tune makes power... oh and on the 80 econo, i noticed an egt drop of about 100 at the freeway.... from 600 to 500 at 60mph compared to stock.

80E is more agressive than 80T. The timing and such is different, the 80E is not intended for "loaded" driving.

140 "Agressive" is the "smoke" tune. It's the same as the 140 "Extreme" except with a bunch more low end fueling to make a crapload of smoke. I think it's silly, the 140EXT smokes enough as it is...but my customers like it?

The lope idle file is STOCK power level and is NOT designed for driving...just sitting and idleing. This is another file that really serves no practical purpose...it's just for kicks.

I'm wonderin about the lope idle tune, now I wish I'd gotten it. That would be cool for goin to the drive thru at Mc Donalds. I've been thinkin about sending mine back and getting a few new tunes put on there. The 80 econo is probably my favorite right now, wonder if the clutch can stand a 100 tune, there's only one way to find out.:burnout
