Water/Meth and NOS tuning.
So who knows there ignition tuning?
Im trying to get a good tune for my truck for the diesel drags. I'm running water/meth at a 40/60 mixture and NOS currently at a 150hp single shot.
So water/methanol slows your fuel burn where NOS speeds it up.
So with the methanol you would want to advance your timing becuase your burn is slower thus allowing more time for it to burn off.
And the opposite with the NOS. You would retard the timing becasue it feed more oxygen to the fuel allowing it to burn quicker.
So if i said im gaining around 50 hp from the water and use a 150 hp shot of NOS would i still retard the timing because the NOS power exceeds the Meth power? Any ideas for getting the beast tuned up:beer2:
