help w/ exhaust....
I was wanting to get a new exhaust system. i curently have just stock straight pipe that exits out in front of RR tire. I was looking at a 4in mbrp some guys say there is no dif from stock to 4 and its not worth the cash also i was wondering how does it sound compared to straight pipe? better worse deeper or what. If i could get it to sound like a dump truck i would be happy lol i do like straight pipe tho so what you guys think

the larger diameter exhaust will help a lot for your egt's and you can just straight pipe the 4" and it will sound better than your stocker......

i thought it would, should i go 4 or 5in will the larger straight piped be deeper than stock less flutter? or just louder?

i would just go with a 4" exhaust.... you will get a good deep sound out of it.... a 5" exhaust i usually for higher HP motors and you will see no gain from going from 4" to 5"

Cool thanks i looked at you stealth and it looks like what i want, think i should run the muffler. i like the way my truck sounds now i just wish it was a litttle deeper and cleaner sounding if that makes sense

If you want to hear your truck sing I wouldn't run a muffler. You can get a reasonably priced 4" kit from Farm Boy Diesel, and they're here on the site. I totally dig the straight pipe on the 7.3L, it sounds amazing.

I just got done doing the 4inch stealth exhaust. I went straightpipe. Trust me you want straight pipe for sure. Sounds much better then with a muffler.
Also with stealth he told me when it left gave me a tracking a number. I received it about 3 days after it shipped. To me that is not bad considering I live in Michigan and Stealth automotive is in california. |
