Save your money. The overboost code is not indicative of a MAP sensor problem.

o so basically the products sold that plug into the map sensor are a waste of $$? what about the overboost light i dont want that thing coming on everytime i romp it, i"ve seen things that go into the boost line but isint there a map sensor plug that fools the over boost light and does other things??? im just curious on the subject idk what all is contorlled by the map sensor or if changing the control postions would even effect anything. any more advice?

Read my post again. I said nothing of the sort concerning "boost foolers" being a waste of money. I am simply telling you that a bad MAP sensor won't cause an overboost code. |

what does cause the over boost code how does my pcm find out theres too much boost if it isint a signal from the boost in my intake to the map sensor then to the pcm and then it throws the light? right or wrong? they sell plug in's that you place in line via map sensor that "fools or whatever the boost singnal at the map sensor to not throw the code and to resume normal. wondering if anyone out there is using them? and what they think?
