Another Chip Question

Hey Fellas,

New to the site and to the PSD world. I just bout a 01 F250 7.3 4X4 Crew with 85K. I want to chip it or program it to get a little better MPG but I'm not expecting a hybrid. My question is 2 part. What is the easiest to install programer, chip etc.. And do I really need to add exhaust, valve body, intake, and other things before I add a programer or chip? I'll def add exhaust but I'm not a racer. I don't tow anything big just a ATV once in a while. All hwy driving, and I live in Florida. Thanks guys! Sorry if this is a everyday question. I promise I've used the search button before asking!

Dan

all CHips are the same to install.. you will have to physically pull out the PCM to install it... the only thing you need to install with a chip is some gauges... but a valve body and a larger trans cooler is recommended...

i recommend this: Tony Wildman Chip

Raul is a very smart man..

Honestly you need nothing, id suggest atleast cutting out the muffler on your stock system..your good up to 400HP then, a 6637 air filter mod is an easy addition to flow, and a valve body will help the tranny.

Gauges are about the only well needed thing..
