Lope Idle

I have a Loped Idle setting on my 7.3 its a DP and I was wondering why it will not lope like my friends duramax? Also in lope idle at the gas station i left it on and it smoked out the whole place, i know its normal to have smoke but can you have to much?

All trucks act differently to tuning. I had the lope tune on my 97 and it didn't lope more than about 50 rpm. I could not tell it was a lope tune. You will need to have the chip tweaked for a better lope. As for the smoke, only one of my tunes smoked at all, so again, let dp know.

Ok thanks,I have contacted them and i will have to send the chip back, not happy about that but owell. Did you ever have your tuner re programmed to correct this issue? and mine is the same way, you can not tell its in lope idle. The rpms drop but thats it no lope sound.

Didn't send it back...sold the truck.
