Clutch Suggestions?

I wont ask "what is the best clutch?" because opinions are like As*holes. ..
So ill word it this way "What Clutches are Better than the stock one and are priced according to quality?"

Im rebuilding the trans because the syncronizers for second gear are almost gone completely so I figured this would be a good time to put an upgraded clutch in. I plan on going to about 400 RWHP if that helps with any suggestions.

Southbend clutches and Valair clutches are both far better than stockers. Look at their websites and find the one that best suits what you want to do. I went with Southbend and got the one rated for 400HP and 800TQ came complete with new flywheel and new pilot bushing.

like previous poster said... valair or southbend. I have 20k on my valair no problems yet. Make sure to switch over solid flywheel if you have dual mass. Either way resurface the flywheel too!

I have the Southbend OFE-K rated at 450hp and 900lb of torque. It pushes in like a little import 4 banger clutch! Its not aggressive either, and its easier to manage because of the lighter foot pressure. Mine came with the pilot bearing, flywheel, pressure plate and clutch too. Great stuff. paid 900 for it.

I'm having great luck with my Luk clutch. My Ford dealer reccomended it because there is a local guy who has a 7.3 and his truck never goes anywhere without pulling a heavily loaded trailer and he got right at 200,xxx miles out of that clutch then a spring broke. I paid $668 from Dial-a-Cluch for the better than stock clutch kit and flywheel including everything needed for the install. Like those above mentioned, mine has nice soft pedal and great driveability and it pulls awesome.

def southbend or Valair... we prob sell more Valair than anything else and have yet to have a problem with them... if you need some prices please let me know and i would be more than happy to assist you..
