tony wildman chip possible problem

i have a tony wildman chip with 6 tunes. hi idle, eco, tow,smoke,sled pull, and extreme. the truck runs fine but right when i mash on it in any of the settings its loud for a second, then just goes right into lugging gear. my edge i had when i did that it was loud as all the time, it didnt jsut go into lugging gear instantly. what could be the problem, if it is at all. its an 01 by the way if it matters
