Water/Meth

So I'm thinking about installing a water/meth kit and I was just kinda seeing what kinda costs people are seeing with it. I tow daily in the summer time when working on the ranch so I figured this could possibly be a good upgrade since I live in Montana and have lots of mountain passes and hills. Also I heard that you could just run straight water and see benefits, so I was wondering if this was true and if it would still be worth doing if I only run water most of the time due to cost of "boost juice".

water only works to cool egt's and if you only want/need it for that then yes it would be perfect.meth mix will give you a hp boost and cool egts.never used it myself but there are a decent amount of folks on here on both sides of likes/dislikes.

If you have PMR rods in your engine you can use straight water but stay away from meth (boost juice). That mix is to hard on the PMR rods. Look at the Cooling Stage I system, it will keep egts down and won' cost you a ton of money.

ive got it on my truck from Devil's Own aka Alcohol Injection Kits : Water Injection Systems : Water Methanol Injection : DevilsOwn Injection
and i love my system
i run a 50/50 mix of blue windsheild washer fluid (ya know the cheap walmart stuff)
but im about to go to 70-30 meth to water

the water you run has to be distilled NOT tap water
the chlorine and other stuff will hurt your motor

but as far as alcohol you can run cheap vodka or the blue windsheild fluid
just check the label first it should say water methal alcohol and blue dye
don't use it if it has anthing else

but as far as the whole system if works wonders and you will notice a power difference with 50/50 and lower egt's

That looks like a pretty sweet setup and it's a lot cheaper than snow performance. Have you had any problems with it, I'm assuming that your just buying the name with the snow. So just running the blue windshield washer stuff do you still notice hp increase and lower egt's. Also another big question I had is, since I live in Montana, I see really cold temperatures do you ever have problems with freezing.

I'd stay away from the methanol if I were you. Both you and I have the PMR rods and they don't like the extra bang from the methanol, taking a good chance of windowing a block. If you run just water for EGTs you'll be fine. I have researched this a couple weeks ago for my truck. The Cooling Mist stage I is like $289 without the tank, nice system without going crazy.
