Whoosh sound

I am still very ignorant when it comes to diesels so a little help would be awesome. I just installed the banks ram air on my truck and everytime I build up alot of boost whether I'm pulling something or just getting on the pedal and then suddenly let off, I hear this big whoosh sound. I believe that I have learned that it is the excess air coming back through the intake. I was wondering if this was normal or could it be damageing anything and if it is bad how do I fix it? Thank you

Normal. Every diesel in modern turbodiesel history does this, you just dont hear it unless you have an intake/exhaust.
